Logotherapists from all over the world will take part in the Congress. The plenary session, featuring renowned invited speakers, will be held on the opening day. During the remaining three days, dozens of presentations, workshops and seminars will take place.


We look forward to the visit of Dr. Eleonore Frankl, the most honored and anticipated guest who was in Moscow twice, in 1986 and 1992.



The working languages of the Congress are English, German, Spanish, and Russian.
Simultaneous translation will be provided for all presentations and workshops.

Cancellation conditions:

In case of cancellation, the processing fee is calculated as follows


Up to 4 weeks before the start of the event: 30 Euro cancellation fee, remainder is refunded
Less than 4 weeks before the start of the event: 50% of the participation fee, remainder is refunded
Less than 2 weeks before the start of the event: 100% of the participation fee

Call for Papers

Participants are kindly invited to submit their presentation and workshop proposals. All submissions will be blind-reviewed and evaluated by the program committee.


Presentations and workshops should be held in either German, English, Spanish, or Russian.


Presentation: As a speaker you will have 60 minutes; please also plan in 10-15 minutes for questions or comments from the audience.

Workshop: You will have between 120 and 180 minutes. Please also plan in appropriate breaks.


Presentations and workshops on the following themes will be preferred:

  • Applications of logоtherapy and existential analysis in these work areas:
    Clinical psychology, psychiatry, incl. case histories
    Logotherapy across the lifespan
    Hospice and palliative work
    Pastoral care and counseling
    New methods in logotherapy
    Others schools of psychotherapy in relation to logotherapy
    Coaching, management and business
    Empirical studies on logotherapy, esp. efficacy studies
  • Practical advice and exchange of experience about the formation and maintenance of a successful logotherapy practice
  • New therapeutic methods in logotherapy and empirical investigations of clinical efficiency of logotherapy and existential analysis, including case studies. 

Submission Process

To submit a presentation or a workshop, please send the following information in either MS Word, opendoc, Works, or pdf format:

  • Title and abstract (between 150 and 300 words and max. 5 keywords. The abstract will be printed in the congress program book in the language of your presentation (German, English, Spanish, or Russian)
  • Short CV (max. 2 pages)

to secretary@viktorfrankl.info . The deadline for submission is the 31st of May 2018.

The program committee will blind-review all submissions. We will inform you no latter than June 20th, whether your submission has been accepted for presentaton.

During the Congress

All speakers will have access to projector, laptop and other audiovisual media.

All presentations will be translated by professional translators into the conference languages (German, English, Spanish and Russian) and transmitted by radioheadphones.


Congress Book Store

The Congress participants are advised to contact our authorized visa agent in Germany Natalia Tissen for visa support.

Please attach a photo of your passport to your request. An invitation for tourist visa will be sent to your e-mail address, along with detailed information you need to fill out your visa application. Please contact the Russian Consulate nearest to you to obtain the detailed list of documents required to apply for visa.

Note that visa application can be submitted not earlier than 3 months prior to arrival to Russia, but it is recommended to apply no later than one month before the trip.
